Katie Dobson Cundiff
Katie Dobson Cundiff established herself as a skilled and creative artist during her adolescence. Dobson Cundiff acquired an early appreciation for the fine arts, drawing and painting under the tutelage of her father, Steven Gaston Dobson, an accomplished Chicago illustrator. Dobson Cundiff's early works earned her awards including a full scholarship in 1968 to Ringling. She graduated with honors in 1971. She focuses on painting Florida landscapes, but also enjoys painting still lifes and people connected with the land. In March of 2004 the Museum of Florida Art & Culture displayed her work in a solo exhibition of Florida landscapes at the turn of the 21st century entitled "Painting Paradise".
