Ron Sanders
Ron Sanders began pursuing art as a small child, working in oils by the age of nine and selling his first commissioned work at the age of eleven. Ron studied Illustration at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated with honors.
Ron embraced his commercial training and, while still in college, began working on a freelance basis. He has been represented by agents in New York and Chicago. He produced illustrations for advertising and promotional material, calendars and newspapers for clients including Doubleday Bookclub, Chase Financial, The Boy Scouts, BF Goodrich, The Detroit Free Press and others before he returned to fine art oil painting.
Ron studied with noted Chinese artist Huihan Liu as well as former President of the Plein Air Painters of America, George Strickland. Although he has studied the styles and methods of other artists past and present, he has actively pursued his own methods of personal expression. Ron continues to explore every avenue that will lead him to growth as an artist and to assist him in producing art of greater quality and beauty. Ron currently lives in the Sarasota, Florida area and is conducting art classes at M Studio.
