Gloria Yonan
Gloria Yonan is a native of Chicago, Illinois.  After raising a family, Gloria returned to her love of art, first as a student, then as artist-teacher at the Village Art School in Skokie, Illinois, where she shared teaching roles with her own instructors Joe Abbrescia and Bonnie Casey. Yonan taught oil painting and charcoal drawing and conducted a life and portrait class as well. To continue her education, she attended classes at the American Academy of Art where she studied watercolor under Irving Shapiro, and oil painting under Algaminas and Ted Smuskiewicz. While in Chicago, she also served on the board of directors of the Palette and Chisel Academy with Richard Schmid. She constantly extends her education through study with regional and national artists as well as sponsoring workshops for other artists.  Gloria is a member of numerous arts organization and has won many awards for her work.
